Northwest Ohio's Premiere
Concealed Carry Classes

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Second Amendment, United States Constitution

A word from Kent D. Nord

As a life member of the National Rifle Association, I originally became an NRA Certified Instructor to further my own knowledge of guns and to assist my professional career as I defend law abiding citizens with concealed carry licenses who find themselves in need of legal expertise for a variety of issues involving their license and/or firearms.

Because of my strong belief in the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution and because of my strong belief that all United States Citizens have a right to defend themselves, I quickly decided to turn my interest in firearms and firearms education into an opportunity to help others “keep and bear arms” and to protect themselves from individuals who attempt to cause them and others severe harm.

I personally do not believe the NRA Basic Pistol class provides the average citizen with the necessary knowledge and skill to carry a concealed firearm and to be able to safely and effectively use that firearm in a close-contact, violent attack. In my concealed carry classes we build upon the general knowledge gained in the NRA Basic Pistol class and add the fundamentals of close-contact firearm draw and shooting techniques. Before I issue a certificate and affidavit, I want to be comfortable that I have given my participants the knowledge they need to know when, where, and how it is appropriate to use deadly force. My years of firearm experience and 16 years as an attorney in Ohio provide me with a unique insight into this extremely important facet of the law. Not only is the use of deadly force a last resort; if used, it is not the end of the situation. Prepare, Prepare, Prepare, and then Train, Train, and Train. The education process never ends.
